Transparency at Every Step
At Silk & Snow, we firmly believe that customers deserve to be informed on where and how their products are being made. That’s why we’ve outlined the entire manufacturing process of our Flax Linen sheets, showcasing exactly what goes in to our premium bedding products.
1
Linen Sourced
Our flax linen is sourced from renowned fields in France and Belgium, not a petrochemical laboratory. Because of this, it’s naturally renewable, recyclable, and biodegradable.
2
Thread Spinning
The Flax linen is further processed and spun in to usable yarn by the Marinho family, who own and operate a Portuguese textile company in Santo Tirso. The Marinhos use modern solutions to uphold the values of environmental consciousness in the fabric spinning industry.
3
Textile Dyeing
The thread is then dyed at a textile processing facility in Guimarães. This facility is dedicated to preserving the environment by minimizing atmospheric emissions and wastewater discharges.
4
Cutting and Sewing
The thread is cut and sewed by the Costa family in Guimarães, Portugal. All of the garments produced by the Costa family are OEKO-TEX Standard 100 Certified, ensuring they are free of harmful chemicals.
