What is GOLS Certification?

Similarly to GOTS, the Global Organic Latex Standard is a global standard that aims to promote recognized requirements to ensure the purity and organic status of natural latex rubber, like the certified carbon neutral Dunlop latex used in our green mattress. GOLS Certification requires adherence to strict mandatory social and environmental regulations, and only latex foam using a minimum of 95% natural latex rubber can be GOLS Certified. These certifications allow us to make the best latex mattress in Canada.

What is GOTS Certification?

The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is a global standard that aims to promote world-wide recognized requirements that ensure the organic status of textiles, from harvesting to raw materials, through environmentally and socially responsible manufacturing practices. Additionally, all dyes and other chemicals used in GOTS approved textiles must be evaluated and meet requirements on toxicity and biodegradability. The cotton used in our Organic Mattress is GOTS certified and certified carbon neutral, as we continually strive to promote conscious manufacturing in all of our products.

What is eco-INSTITUT certified?

The Eco Institute, located in Cologne, Germany, is an independent organization that has more than 25 years of experience testing products for the presence of pollutants and emissions. The eco-INSTITUT certification assures that the latex does not contain even trace amounts of hazardous chemicals and will not off-gas undesirable chemicals and odors into your home. Some of the chemicals the Eco-Institute certification test for include volatile organic compounds (VOCs), phthalates, formaldehyde, pesticides, heavy metals, and persistent organic pollutants.
